Home Up

Val and I bought a new house 10-15 miles northwest of our old one in a town called Ewing.  We closed on it on Val's birthday; 4-22-03.  It seemed like we were running out of space in the other place and our lives were centered around the western side of Trenton.  The old house sold three weeks after putting it on the market, but we just closed the sale on 5/29/03.  The new house has 4 bedrooms, formal living room, dining room, eat-in-kitchen, family room (with a wet bar off to one side), Florida room, a basement, and a shed.  I don't have pictures of the inside yet on account of the fact that we are still unpacking boxes and its a bit of a mess.  I will post updates as they become available.

The house is located on about 1/2 acre of land, but the previous owners mowed well into the power line right of way and doubled the size of the back yard on account of the owners of the property who manage the business park adjacent to us and don't care.  The result is a yard that amounts to about a little more than an acre.  The picture here is from the deck toward the back yard.

On July 15th, we took a trip to Colorado and Saw Val's Grandfathers stomping Grounds in Fairplay, then headed to points in the Black Canyon on the Gunnison, the Colorado National Monument, Dinosaur National Park, the Grand Teton National Park, and Yellow Stone National Park.  I will be loading pictures soon.

On April 20, 2006 we loaded the family up into the Solara, stopped in Barnesboro to pick up Nona, and then headed for Washington DC to meet Stephanie, Bo, and the boys at the Smithsonian Institute.  What a time we had.

August 6, 2006.  An evening on the deck.
