Old Idea:
first take, deciding between the Roberts Jaw Toggle or the Mast Tang for a small
boat.
I decided on the Roberts Jaw Toggle, then added Lewmar 50mm Synchro blocks capable
of taking 3/8" line and loads over 1000 pounds (standard single fiddle block on
the combing). Even at 4-1 advantage, I will not be trying to haul 1000
pounds with 5/16 line. The line can take it, but I can't pull 250 with a
line that fine.
